New Delhi: A grand press conference for the
much-awaited Punjabi comedy film "Carry On Jatta 4" was held in Delhi
as part of its promotional campaign. The event was attended by the film’s lead
cast including Gippy Grewal, Sargun Mehta, Binnu Dhillon, and Pukhraj Bhalla.
"Carry On Jatta" is one of the most
successful comedy franchises in Punjabi cinema. Following the massive success
of its first three installments, the fourth part is now all set to entertain
audiences.
Speaking about the film, Gippy Grewal said, “When
this film came to me, I really loved its script. At that time, we did not have
a big budget, so I took help from my friends, formed a team, and produced the
film myself. It was our good fortune that the film became a big success, after
which we made the second and third parts, and now the fourth installment is
ready.”
He further added that the team faced several
challenges during the making of the fourth part, especially after the
unfortunate demise of Bhalla Sahab, who played a crucial role in the franchise.
“We felt that it would be impossible to continue without him, as no one could
replace his contribution. However, with the help of AI technology, we explored
the possibility of bringing him back on screen. Initially, we were unsure, but
when our team created a small demo video, it looked very convincing. After that,
we approached his family, showed them the work, and took their permission
before moving forward.”
Sargun Mehta shared, “I entered this industry after
watching Carry On Jatta. Being a part of this film today is truly a proud and
special moment for me.”
Binnu Dhillon expressed his emotions, saying, “We
deeply missed Bhalla Sahab during the film. He was an incredible and generous
actor. This film is packed with comedy, and I can guarantee that audiences will
be laughing non-stop.”
The film also marks the debut of Pukhraj Bhalla,
son of the late Bhalla Sahab, which adds a special emotional connect to the
project.
"Carry On Jatta 4" is all set to release
across India on June 26.
