A grand cultural programme, “Dhatri 2026,” was organized in memory of two legendary icons of Indian classical dance and music, Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra and Padma Vibhushan Girija Devi. The colourful event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Srijan Chhanda, dancers, musicians, and lovers of art and culture.


As part of the annual presentation of Srijan Chhanda, the programme aimed to promote India's rich heritage of classical music, dance, and culture while inspiring the younger generation to appreciate and preserve these traditions.


The event was held at Uttam Mancha and was graced by distinguished guests including Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya and Dr. Sudha Dutta, daughter of the legendary Padma Vibhushan Girija Devi. The programme was conceived and directed by renowned dance director Rajib Bhattacharya.


During their addresses, the eminent guests highlighted the extraordinary contributions of Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra and Guru Girija Devi to Indian classical arts and paid heartfelt tribute to their invaluable role in enriching the country's cultural heritage.


The programme featured a series of captivating classical dance performances, musical presentations, and cultural segments that left the audience spellbound. The artists' outstanding performances elevated the event to a memorable and inspiring experience.
