NBM Production’s music video of singer Smritikana Paul’s Rabindrasangeet ‘Jodi Barano Koro’ was released at the Press Club on February 28 in the presence of a host of celebrities which included singer-composer Sumit Roy. Smritikana who has returned to singing after a break of 34 years has acted and sung in the video. A tribute by well-known singer Pritha Majumder to Smritikana her guru and elder sister, this is NBM’s maiden venture.
The music video was earlier released
in Mumbai in the presence of music director Jatin Pandit. Singer Jaspinder
Narula and actors Annu Kapoor and Sushant Singh, and was much appreciated for its lilting music and Smritikana’s soulful rendition.

Smritikana a promising singer on
the brink of stardom damaged her vocal cords while practising classical numbers
over three decades ago. Two years back when her doctor told her that her throat
has healed she decided to return to her passion, singing, with the wholehearted support of her younger sister Pritha.
