The second edition of AMI Arts Festival will be a melting pot of exhibitions, a delightful art and craft bazaar, music concerts, workshops, film screenings, and a virtual conversation series. To be held at Nazrul Tirtha from December 17 to 19 from noon to 8 pm, organised by Kolkata Centre for Creativity, the festival is Bengal’s very own cultural festival that intends to inculcate pride in and celebrate the state’s rich cultural legacy while aiming to reflect the flagship programmes organized by KCC throughout the year.

It will include larger than life evenings featuring magnetic performers like Sahana Bajpaie, Pt. Uday Bhawalkar, Rene Singh, Lopamudra, Cizzy, folk performances by Tusu, Bhadu, Gambhira and Raibeshe, Buzzaar- an art and craft market, with food and fun, buzzing with activities, hands-on art and craft workshops by Dipankar Roy, Upal Sengupta (of ‘Chandrabindoo’), Rituparno Basu and Tamal Bhattacharya.

There will be screenings of lesser-known documentaries by Goutam Ghose, followed by a conversation with the director himself. The documentaries are ‘Meeting a Milestone: Ustad Bismillah Khan’ (A film on Bismillah Khan),Studios of Devotion’ (A film on Art) and ‘Magic of Making’ (A film on KG Subramanyan).

There will also be special screenings and the release of five animated films based on children’s books written and illustrated by K. G. Subramanyan and A. Ramachandran (created by Foundation for Indian Art Education). This will be followed by a panel discussion where the speakers will be: Prof. R. Siva Kumar, Naveen Kishore, Jogen Chowdhury with Chhatrapati Dutta as the moderator. The films are:Bhima and the Fragrant Flower’,Cat's Night and Day’, Dakiya The Mailman’,How Poppy Grew Happy’ and The Bad King Who Became a Good King’. ‘Radical Intimacies’ will be screened in collaboration with British Council.

There will also be virtual talk sessions in association with Seagull Books and an exhibition on the stunning original artworks of over 50 artists from all over India.
