Covid 19 is still a source of great worry across the world. In India more so due to the country’s high population density, with less medications and inadequate vaccines. However, there are also a few non-government organizations and individuals who are coming forward to help the poor and backward by arranging vaccines for them. One of them is actor and singer Suparna Kumar. Suparna recently finished one of her short films "Unlucky Shirt" directed by Suranjan Dey where she also gave the playback. The actor is all geared up to shoot for her next film “Phaand”. Based on the story “Andhakarer Abayob”, this film too will be directed by Suranjan Dey and will go on the floor next month.

In between her films, Suparna recently undertook a wonderful initiative by arranging a vaccination camp and getting 117 poor and physically handicapped people vaccinated in Kolkata's Baranagar at 'Hashikhushi Club'. During the previous lockdown too she had helped poor and stray animals.

Suparna said that now she is free due to the lockdown and from next month she will get busy again with recording and shooting. So she is using this time to do some charity work for the poor and distressed. It’s not possible for everyone to go to government hospitals for free vaccines as there is a long queue every day. And there are so many who can’t afford to buy the vaccines. Suparna took the help of some medical staff and arranged for a vaccination camp for such people.

If Sonu Sood can think of the whole country, there is Suparna too in Kolkata, who is more keen to help out those in distress than bother about her stardom.
