New Delhi: A special meeting of the Shri Ramlila
Mahasangh, an umbrella organization representing all Ramlila committees in the
national capital, was held at the Constitution Club, New Delhi, under the अध्यक्षता of its President, Mr. Arjun Kumar. The meeting aimed to address issues
faced during Ramlila आयोजन and find collective solutions.
During the बैठक, it was unanimously decided
that Dussehra will be celebrated across the country on October 20, 2026. It was
also announced that the Ramlila Mahotsav in Delhi will be held from October 11
to October 21, 2026.
Representatives from hundreds of Ramlila committees
participated and shared their concerns. Addressing the gathering, President
Arjun Kumar expressed gratitude to the Delhi Government for providing 1200
units of free electricity last year. He appealed to the government to extend
free electricity facilities for Ramlila committees this year as well. He also
urged the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to provide grounds free of cost for
at least 45 days, similar to other departments.
General Secretary Mr. Subhash Goyal suggested that
all grounds where Ramlila is staged should be officially designated as “Utsav
Sthal (Ramlila)”.
On the occasion, newly appointed BJP Delhi State
President and Union Minister of State, Mr. Harsh Malhotra, was felicitated by
the federation with a mace symbolizing Lord Hanuman, along with a shawl. Other
Members of Parliament present were also honored with traditional Ramnami stoles
and mementos.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Harsh Malhotra assured
that no obstacles would be allowed in religious activities and that all issues
related to Ramlila आयोजन would be resolved before the festivities begin. MP
Mr. Praveen Khandelwal stated that efforts made last year would be continued
and pending issues would be addressed collectively.
MP Mr. Ramvir Singh Bidhuri emphasized that Ramlila
is an integral part of Indian culture and assured that MPs would take up the
concerns with Union Home Minister and the Lieutenant Governor for resolution.
MP Ms. Kamaljeet Sehrawat reiterated that governments at the Centre, Delhi, and
municipal levels are committed to supporting Ramlila committees and resolving
their concerns.
Several prominent members and representatives from
various Ramlila committees across Delhi, including Kashmiri Gate, Pitampura,
Karol Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, Rohini, Narela, Shahdara, and others, were present
and shared their views.
The meeting concluded with a collective commitment
to ensure smooth and grand आयोजन of Ramlila festivities in 2026.
