Friday March 27, saw yet another outlet of
Cakes opening in the city, this time bang opposite New Empire cinema hall in
the New Market area. Owner Gaurav Kapoor said, "We are among the top three
confectionaries in Kolkata and we have been very consistent in
maintaining the quality of all our products over the years." This
being the 16th outlet in the state, top models of Kolkata along with
actor-producer Sangita Sinha cut a cake on the occasion. "It's always
great to taste any savoury at Cakes," smiled the models.
Cakes' latest innovations, fish croissant and
chicken croissant sandwich, were also unveiled on the occasion.
"As of now we have no plan to expand as we
want to concentrate on what we have already and keep working towards
improving the quality of all our products to keep our customers happy,"
added Kapoor.
