A timeless love story. Two iconic literary legends. One unforgettable evening. The curtains rise once again on “Ek Mulaqat”, a deeply moving Hindi play that explores the silences, verses, and unresolved emotions between two of India’s most celebrated poets — Sahir Ludhianvi and Amrita Pritam. Headlined by the veteran actor Shekhar Suman as the melancholic and magnetic Sahir, and the talented Geetika Tyagi as the fierce, passionate Amrita, the play promises to transport audiences into a world where poetry, love, and longing collide.

“Ek Mulaqat” is more than just a meeting, it is an imagined, poignant rendezvous between two poets whose hearts beat in verse, whose souls were entwined in admiration, and whose destinies never found closure. Set in a quiet evening that never was, the play becomes a canvas for confessions, unsent letters, heartbreak, and a celebration of unconsummated love.

Shekhar Suman, known for his versatility and command over stage presence, brings Sahir’s conflicted genius alive with intensity and grace. Geetika Tyagi’s Amrita is bold yet vulnerable, reflecting the spirit of a woman who lived and loved unapologetically.

”Portraying Sahir Ludhianvi is a responsibility. He wasn’t merely a poet; he was a voice of rebellion, romance, and reflection. 'Ek Mulaqat' is my tribute to his genius, his silences, and the unspoken love he carried for Amrita Pritam. Every line I deliver on stage echoes with his intensity, and every pause holds a thousand unsaid emotions. This is not acting—this is feeling” says Shekhar Suman.
