In a landmark decision, the Election Commission of Bihar has appointed internationally acclaimed actress and National Award-winning producer Neetu Chandra as the Icon Face of Bihar. This historic appointment is not just a recognition it is a celebration of a citizen who has tirelessly elevated Bihar’s identity on global, national, and cultural stages.

 

Neetu Chandra isn’t just the face of Bihar she is the pride of Bihar. From humble beginnings in Patna to dazzling red carpets in Hollywood, her journey is nothing short of extraordinary. Her contribution to Bihar spans across cinema, sports, cultural heritage, and social impact, making her the most deserving and powerful choice to inspire millions during the election campaign.

 

From her breakout Bollywood debut in Garam Masala alongside Akshay Kumar and John Abraham, to acclaimed performances in Traffic Signal, Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!, Rann, and more than 15 Hindi films, Neetu has starred opposite actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Sushmita Sen, R. Madhavan, Abhay Deol, and Kunal Khemu. She was the first commercial Bollywood actress from Bihar, shattering industry norms and paving the way for others.

Beyond the silver screen, she has brought immense pride to the state by representing India nine times in National Taekwondo Championships to becoming the first martial artist from Bihar to achieve this feat, winning medals and making sports history.
