Celebrations galore for 'After Hours' at 'Aavishkar-The Discovery' premiere

Sunday, August 9, saw a gathering of the cast and crew of three short films "The Inner Light", "Aavishkar The Discovery" and "After Hours" at the Ballygunge residence of Pracheta Majumdar & Krishna Majumdar. All three shorts are directed by Sanjay Mishra and written by Pratik Majumdar.

The premiere of "Aavishkar" at the venue was greeted by appreciative claps by the audience which also included former state additional chief secretary Atri Bhattacharya and his family. 

The film's leading man Soham Gupta, cinematographer, associate director and editor Ravit Mishra and director Sanjay Mishra shared their experience of making this tribute to Basu Bhattacharya's 1974 Rajesh Khanna-Sharmila Tagore starrer "Avishkaar" with a twist. The film's leading lady Anuja Jain could not make it as she was away shooting in Mumbai.

A special screening of "The Inner Light" which will premiere soon was also held. The cast of the film comprising Abhijit Guha and Aineesh Dutt were present along with the producers Nishant Bhalotia and Madhusatta Chowdhury and Anineesh's family. Incidentally, Aineesh's mother is well known theatre personality and teacher Baishali Dutt. 

The entire team of "After Hours" including the lead pair Tathagatha Chowdhury and Komal Dey were present to celebrate the film crossing 100K views on YouTube since its release. The  producers of both "Aavishkar" and "After Hours" Bindiya Majumdar and Payal Mishra beamed with joy as the cast and crew of all the film 'After Hours' were felicitated with trophies.

A sumptuous lunch and cake cutting ceremony along with an adda rounded up the proceedings.
