Sonu Sood's first directorial venture is full of style and the way he intercuts certain scenes adds to the glamour of this blood fest. He has made a film on a very important burning topic (the story is also by him) - the horrors of loan apps which in today's time is very relevant. Plus the film is extremely fast-paced devoid of any unnecessary romance and frivolous scenes. Yes the action scenes look heavily borrowed from John Wick, Old Boy, Kill Bill and Animal.
Fateh Singh (Sonu Sood) is a well-respected man working as a dairy supervisor in Moga in Punjab. His neighbour Nimrit (Shiv Jyoti Rajput) runs a mobile shop and is also an agent of a loan app called 'Kisht Pe' which has benefitted many villagers initially but later on they face a hard time in paying off the loan and interest and because of this the loan agents send them fake nude pics of their family members. Amongst all this Nimrit suddenly disappears and that is when Fateh decides to track her down and in doing so lands up in Delhi where he comes in touch with a master hacker Khushi (Jacqueline Fernandez). Unknown to the loan app sharks, Fateh is no ordinary man- he is a well-trained assassin.
Sonu Sood delivers a restrained performance and excels in the action scenes. Jacqueline Fernandez is fairly good but the romantic chemistry (if at all any) between the two is a big let-down. Naseeruddin Shah as Raza, the main antagonist is as usual very unfailing and holds weight (by the way he wears only one costume throughout the film). Vijay Raaz is an absolute delight as Satya Prakash. He has a very different role as an antagonist. As usual, Dibyendu Bhattacharya as the corrupt cop Nishit Biswas is excellent in a special appearance. In one scene, as Chadha, Akashdeep Sabir is wonderful. Shiv Jyoti Rajput as Nimrit does a good job. Sheeba Akashdeep (as Nimrit's mother), Soundous Moufakir (Raza's assistant), and Prakash Belawadi (Ayyappa, Fateh's ex-boss) are fair.
The action is both bloody and exciting and slickly executed. The cinematography (Vincenzo Condorelli) is excellent. Sonu Sood impresses as an actor and director and makes it a slick blood fest.
