Take 5 Communications, a creative organization headed by Film Director Tathagata Bhattacherjee and Actor Sudeshna Chakraborty, came up with a thought-provoking event Synergy – Knowledge Conclave 2026 on Sunday 16th August, the day after our 80th Independence Day at The Galaxy, Park Hotel in Kolkata. The event brought together an illustrious gathering of educators, academicians, advocates, corporate leaders, business owners, defense officers, doctors, policy makers, and other eminent citizens for a healthy discussion on constitutional literacy, law and justice.
Prof. Ashutosh Ghosh, Vice Chancellor – University of Calcutta, in his keynote address ignited the right mood for the occasion with his inspiring speech that set the ball rolling for the panel discussion to follow.
Session One of the panel discussion was about the need for constitutional literacy across all levels of the education system while Session Two emphasized on law and constitution as a citizen’s guide to rights and justice. An interactive Q&A with the audience, comprising personalities from the educational, legal and corporate fields, followed after each session that created the perfect ambience at The Park Hotel's Galaxy Banquet.
Senior advocate Vipul Kundalia moderated both the sessions with élan and everyone kept cheering for more.
The esteemed panelists included Kargil War hero Col. Diptangshu Chaudhury, Vice Chancellor (UEM Jaipur) Prof. Dr. Biswajoy Chatterjee, senior educators Prof. Shabina Omar and Dr. Bratati Bhattacharyya, IRS officer Shahanshah Mirza, eminent neurosurgeon Dr. Amitabh Chanda, media personality/social activist Keya Ghosh, corporate leaders Jaydeep Chitlangia and Samrat Sengupta, advocate Rtn. Debjani Ghosh, human rights activist Vineet Ruia, noted Chartered Accountant & GST expert Ishan Tulsiyan and CEO of St. Sebastain’s School, Prapti Rozario.
An added attraction was a motivational speech by Prof. Dr. Sujoy Biswas, Director – CEO – Registrar of Techno India University.
