The trailer and music launch of “Niswortha” was held at Noa Boutique cum café on April 17. The Bengali short film directed by Souvik Dey stars Rajanya and Saikat and has some wonderful music by Sougata and Joy. Describing the 24-minute short film as a sweet love story, Souvik said that “Niswortha” tells the story of love like no other love.
Souvik is a
prolific filmmaker having won the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Best Director for “Bijaya Dashami” starring
Rajatava Dutta and Aryan Bhowmick. The promising young filmmaker has also directed four other films, including “60 Er Pore” and “Barfi”. He has also been working on a web series starring
many well-known names from Tollywood and Bollywood.
The shooting of “Niswortha” was done over three days in the Shyambazar area, capturing the nostalgia of North Kolkata’s sights and sounds. Made under Diidaa Productions “Niswortha” will release on YouTube on May 3.
