Full paisa vasool entertainer

Cast: Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Kaylee Hottie, Dan Stevens

Rating: 3.5*

After MCU & DCU, we get MonsterVerse from Warner Bros & Legendary Pictures which comprised of Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island (2017) & Godzilla: King of Monsters (2019), Godzilla x Kong (2021), and now Godzilla x King: The New Empire. Director Adam Wingard keeps the film simple and entertaining and caters to all sects of the audience and yet he keeps the runtime (113 minutes) in check. Once when he gets both the monsters face to face, we get a paisa vasool experience. The focus is so much on the main monsters that the villainous monsters are relegated to the back seat making the track suffer. The human characters also suffer a lot due to their weak characterizations.

Kong and his protectors undertake a perilous journey to find his true home along with a young orphaned girl Jia with whom Kong shares a unique and powerful bond. Unexpectedly they cross the path of an enraged Godzilla which is only the beginning of the mystery that lies deep within the core of the Earth.

The VFX is first rate and there is never a dull moment in the film. The film is very exciting and clap-worthy.
