Director Rajesh Krishnan (Lootcase) delivers a very light-hearted yet intriguing film with a lot of style. His back-and-forth narrative also adds value to the film, thus keeping all the sections of the audience happy. He could have used dollops of humour which surprisingly is not the case here and at certain points, he rushes into finishing the scene and also is very unconvincing in the manner in which the trio gets out of tricky situations. But, despite that he scores heavily in the climax which along with the performances of the three leading ladies- Tabu, Kareena, and Kriti makes the film very entertaining and watchable.
Three air hostesses Geeta Sethi (a
brilliant Tabu) who stays with her husband Arun (Kapil Sharma) in a modest
house because of a family feud, Jasmine Kohli (glamorous and delightful Kareena
Kapoor Khan) who stays with her grandfather (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) & Divya
Rana (lovely and wonderful Kriti Sanon) who despite having qualified to be a
pilot doesn’t get a job as one due to recession, are best friends working for
Kohinoor Airways which is owned by Vijay Walia (a dependable Saswata
Chatterjee). Along with them, 4000 other employees have not been paid salaries
for the last 6 months.
One day while flying to Al Burj, their
senior pursuer Rajvanshi (Ramakant Daayama) dies suddenly mid-air and while
trying to give CPR to revive him, they find gold biscuits hidden in his vest.
Despite their financial crunch, they do not steal the biscuits. In the meantime, the flight is diverted to Mumbai where they meet the customs officer Jaiveer (Diljeet
Dosanjh) who turns out to be Divya’s college friend. News flashes that Kohinoor
Airways is bankrupt which is rubbished by Vijay Walia. Geeta turns to her old
friend the head of HR, Mittal (a very likeable Rajesh Sharma) who blurts out
the truth that indeed the company is going through a financial crisis. Realizing that they may not get their salaries, with the help of Mittal, the three start
smuggling gold biscuits like Rajvanshi. But all is not as easy as it seems.
Diljit Dosanjh in a guest appearance and
Kapil Sharma credited in a special appearance are both adorable. Trupti Khamkar
who plays customs officer Mala surprises you with her performance. Kulbhushan
Kharbanda doesn’t get much scope.
Other highlights of the film are the remix
songs specially ‘Choli ke peeche’, ‘Dilli shaher mein maro ghagro’ and ‘Sona
kitna sona hai’. The background music is superb with different instrumental
versions of ‘choli’ playing. The chartbuster ‘Naina’ looks stunning but is
played in the end credits.
The film is pure fun and boasts of
delightful performances by the three beautiful leading ladies.
