After leaving fans excited with the first glimpses of his multilingual film Manush, superstar Jeet has set the bar really high. From showing so many of his shades in the film’s trailer, Jeet certainly captivated many hearts and now with Susmita, he will rule over fans once again through the song Barse Re. After a very long time, Jeet has brought a rain song to Bengali cinema and it has a very fun setting. By the looks of it, Barse Re looks like a song that is full of love and laughter, it is all about enjoying the beautiful moments in life.
Talking about the rain song Jeet says, “Barse Re, the words itself bring in the visuals of rain in your mind. The beautiful composition of Aneek Dhar and the melodious voice of Shreya & Abhay set the mood right.”
Susmita who plays Jeet’s love interest in Manush also said, “When Jeet sir told me that he plans to put a rain song in the film, I was very excited as it's my first rain song so shooting for the song was all the more special. I can say this was the best part of the film because it clubbed two things I love the most – dance and rain. I must say, I love the way Barse Re has come out, I hope people like it too.”
Producer Gopal Madnani said, “The rain song was completely the team's idea and we all came on board instantly because a melody like this has not appeared in Bengali films for long. From there Barse Re took a life of its own, it was beautifully made and shot.”
Director Sanjoy Somadder says, “I enjoyed the most shooting for Barse Re, the song has such a happy feeling to it. We all were grooving on the set while shooting for it. What has made the song look so beautiful are the performances of Jeet and Susmita.”
Aneek Dhar says, “Composing a rain song, which has some energy & rhythm along with aromantic touch, is definitely challenging. My initial thought was to create a catchy hook melody with some common words on it for the audience. Of course, since the very first day, I wanted to work with Shreya Ghoshal on this song. So the whole composition had to have a light classical yet contemporary touch.”
The Hindi version called Barse Re has been sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Abhay Jodhpurkar. The music is given by Aneek Dhar and the lyrics have been penned by Panchhi Jalonvi.
Manush releases in both Hindi and Bengali. The film was written and directed by Sanjoy Somadder. It is produced by Jeet, Gopal Madnani, and Amit Jumrani under the banner of Jeetz Filmworks, Manush: Child of Destiny releases on 24th November.
