The teaser launch of Bengal’s first-ever large-scale VFX science fiction feature was launched at the Press Club on Thursday. Written and directed with VFX by Sourav Das “Kohinoor-The Beginning After The End” is a futuristic film set in 2060 and based on the legendary Kohinoor diamond.
Made under the
banner of the Burdwan-based Om Production, the film stars Sourav Das, Moubani
Dalui, Soumi Datta Roy, and Rajatava Dutta among others.
The film revolves
around Captain Arav working for Outlaw a private military organisation. He is
appointed by General Aditya to provide security to the Kohinoor diamond kept
at the British Research Organisation. When he sees such a huge amount of money
being invested in the diamond he gets suspicious. One night when he is guarding
the diamond at night he sees a girl coming from another world and stealing the Kohinoor.
He chases her to the other world to get the diamond back also encountering many
mysteries related to the stone.
It took around a
year to assemble a team for Kohinoor said Sourav Das who runs a well-known
dance academy in Burdwan for the past 16 years.
Set for release in
2024 “Kohinoor-The Beginning After The End” is the perfect example of daring to
dream and fulfilling that dream said Rajatava Dutta.
