Varun Sharma is what
comes to mind when you think of the Fukrey franchise, and writer and director
Mrighdeep Singh Lamba understands this. So he goes the extra mile to make
the character as goofy as it can, and in the process makes the film itself and
the character severely unfunny in what can be deemed as the unfunniest
instalment in the entire franchise. Of course, there is a social message but it’s
pretty shallow showing footage of it for like two minutes.
A
year after the events of Fukrey 2, Bholi Punjaban has joined politics and is on
the verge of winning the Delhi elections. As her win would turn the city into a
criminal hub, the four friends hatch a plan to pit Choocha against Bholi in the
election After his dream becomes reality, Choocha gets a new power as his urine
turns into gunpowder.
Varun
Sharma and Pankaj Tripathi are easily the highlights of this film. They are the
funniest and easily give the best performances. Richa Chadha is fine for the
most part as is Manjot Singh and Pulkit Samrat though Pulkit hardly has any
dialogues.
This is a typical film for Delhiites,
but Delhi people definitely deserve better than Fukrey 3 which is let down by a
bad screenplay.
