EEMP (Environmental Education Media Project) in association with CalCallingTV and Cashless Bazar is bringing to discerning music lovers of Kolkata and Bengal a one-of-its-kind musical experience, “Noboborshe Ponchobyanjon”: A Musical Journey With Pancham Da.

To be performed by Niche Entertainment, renowned across the globe for its thematic music performances, the musical extravaganza, will be held at Kala Mandir on April 14, 2023, on the eve of Bengali New Year. Team CalCalling is offering this never-before musical experience on its 12th anniversary.

The connoisseurs of music would know that despite spending most of his career in Mumbai, R.D. Burman maintained close ties with Kolkata, the city where he was born and brought up by his parents - the legendary S D Burman and his wife, throughout his life. He continued to draw inspiration from the city and its rich musical heritage and collaborated with many Bengali musicians and singers throughout his career. R.D.'s music continues to be popular in Kolkata and across India, and his legacy as a musical innovator and trailblazer in the Indian music industry is still celebrated today.

As part of EEMP’s commitment to prioritizing deep decarbonization and rapid fossil fuel shutdowns, complemented by nature-based solutions, a substantial part of the revenue generated from the event will go to plantation initiatives at New Town, Kolkata, Rotary Garden, New Town, and the Sunderbans.
