Celebrity Cricket League CCL curtain raiser event at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai on 4th February, Saturday was a rocking affair. It was a star-studded event with the presence of Suniel Shetty, Sohail Khan, Boney Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Poonam Dhillon, Raj Naik, Vatsal Sheth,  Madhoo, Manoj Tiwari, Freddy Daruwala, Jiiva, Arya, Sharad Kelkar, Jay Bhanushali,  Suyyash Rai, Ravie Dubey, Arjun Bijlani, Akhil Akkineni, Balraj Syal, Sahil Anand,  Arjan Bajwa, Jay Bhanushali, Simran Kaur, Darshan Kumar, Sneha Jain, Madirakshi Mundle, Lavina Israni, Shabir Ahluwalia, Meet brothers, Ulka Gupta, Vivek Gopan, Faria Abdulla, Anula and many more.

Bigger, better, and completely revamped, the 5-weekend, 19 games tournament, will commence on 18th February. One of the Biggest Sportainment events in the country, the Celebrity Cricket League is coming back fully reloaded after 3 years. This edition is expected will witness the participation of many incredibly popular stars of Indian cinema.

Salman Khan is the team ambassador of Mumbai Heroes and Arya is the team ambassador of Chennai Rhinos.  South superstar Mohan Lal is the co-owner of Kerala Team, while producer Boney Kapoor owns Bengal Team, Actor Venkatesh is the co-owner of Telugu Warriors,  and actor-producer Sohail Khan is the owner of Mumbai Team. The other captains include actor Jisshu Sengupta, who is heading Bengal Tigers, actor-producer Riteish Deshmukh, who is heading Mumbai Heroes, Punjab De Sher captain is actor Sonu Sood, Karnataka Bulldozers will be led by actor Kiccha Sudeep, Bhojpuri Dabanggs has actor Manoj Tiwari as their captain, Telugu Warriors is headed by actor Akhil Akkineni, Kerala Strikers has actor Kunchacko Boban as their captain and actor Vishnu Vishal heads Chennai Rhinos. 

Not only is it bigger, but the format has changed as well. *Vishnu Vardhan Induri, CCL founder and managing director, says*, “CCL is introducing a new format for the first time ever. It will be a T20 With 2 Innings of 10 overs per team. This is a very new format played nowhere in the world before.”
