The Centre for Collaborative Programmes, Training and Research of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), WB has launched academic, training and research activities in the domain of “Telemedicine and Digital Health”. The Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. (Dr.) Saikat Maitra launched the programmes on November 8 at Hotel Indismart, Salt Lake.
The programmes will be conducted under the aegis
of Centre for Collaborative
Programs, Training and Research, MAKAUT, WB. (CCPTR, MAKAUT,
WB.). The objective of the centre is to bestow high-quality
teaching-learning practices and specific professional skill sets to the
students, expand the student base of the University, use the pooled resources
of the collaborating organizations in a synergistic manner so as to help the
University elevate its academic standards, foster quality professional
education in West Bengal and enhance employment opportunities, all to be done
as per the quality mandate prescribed by different
academic/statutory/Government bodies for the greater interest of the students.
In its endeavour to spread quality education enhancing employability,
collaboration has been established across Bankura, Darjeeling, East Burdwan and
Birbhum besides Kolkata, North and South 24 Parganas, Nadia etc. The hallmark
of this Centre is sustained and vigorous research activity in cutting edge
areas of technology, science and management with a strong focus on societal and
industrial needs.
BSc in Telemedicine and
Digital Health will be conducted in collaboration with Shantiniketan Paramedical College, Bolpur (a
unit of Swadhin) and Burdwan
Institute of Modern Studies, East Burdwan (a unit of Oriental Association for
Education & Research).
