Mumbai: A complaint has been filed with the NHRC for taking action under suo moto cognizance for a fair investigation in the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The complaint of unnatural death of Sushant Singh Rajput has been filed by Ashish Rai, law student, University of Mumbai before the Human Rights Commission. According to the complaint, Sushant was given drugs by his close friends without the knowledge of his family. The complaint also includes the fact that discrimination and racism was shown by veteran actors in Bollywood against this new artist which is an act against humanity.
The late actor was mentally tortured by Bollywood nepotism during his stint in
Bollywood. This remains the main reason for the unnatural death of Sushant. In
this way the mental harassment inflicted by the film industry is definitely
against humanity.
Keeping this in view, a case has been registered under suo moto cognizance
under Case Diary No. 9279/IN/2021 before the National Human Rights Commission in
which a complaint has been filed under Section of 1993 of the Protection of
Human Rights Act. Praying as part of a complaint lodged by Ashish Rai Law
Student (University of Mumbai) seeking suo motu action of National Human Rights
Commission in the case of unnatural death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh
Rajput.
There is a demand that special investigation teams of National Human Rights
Commission should be constituted in the whole matter. And it has been prayed
that a demand has been made to direct the Human Rights Commission to the
Government, to raise voice against the constitutional rights of Bollywood
actors like right to work, right to equality, right to freedom and exploitation
at workplace and that rights can be protected from being infringed.
