Kolkata: Is your near and dear one gasping for breath and you are frantically searching for oxygen to save his or her life- then call Oxygen Helpline: Nos are 8697242012 and 7439729315. A slew of young covid warriors in PPE kit would reach out to you anywhere in Kolkata with the oxygen cylinder and accessories and bring hope to your teary eyes.

In order to reach out to the hapless covid victims with oxygen, Kolkata Society For Cultural Heritage, a social enterprise has collaborated with samaritans like I Am Kolkata from Merlin Group launched Oxygen Helpline in Kolkata.  Y-East from Techno India has also supported this cause.

The Oxygen Helpline service by Kolkata Society For Cultural Heritage has so far reached out to 1159 Covid patients across Kolkata and Sonarpur, Baruipur, Madhyamgram and the Sundarbans.

“Our team of covid warriors not only have been distributing oxygen cylinders and accessories to enable patients to breath but also have been in touch with the patients’ families and sanitizing the empty cylinders, refilling them and redistributing to another patients in need. Last year also we had served as covid warriors but this year the acute shortage of life saving oxygen cylinders have prompted us to launch this Oxygen Helpline No. We are thankful to the State Health Department for issuing us necessary letter for covid management for running the service on road without hassle,” said Sourav Mukherjee, president, Kolkata Society for Cultural Heritage

“The second deadly Covid-19 strain choked the lungs of Kolkata leaving thousands of people gasping for breath. Oxygen cylinders have been the most precious object that are helping Covid victims to survive and reach out to hospitals for treatment with the live-saving gas. But the cylinders have become so scanty in numbers that people could hardly get it. So we decided to extend our support to Kolkata Society for Cultural Heritage,” said Saket Mohta, Founder of I AM Kolkata and MD of Merlin Group.

Merlin Group also undertook sanitization drive in Charu Market and Kasba Market recently to help the State Govt.
