Kolkata: Cyclone Yaas is now located in the east central Bay of Bengal, 220 km south and south east of Paradip and 320 km from Sagar Island. It will move in a north westerly direction and turn into a very severe cyclonic.

On May 26 early in the morning it will be close to Dhamra near Balasore. In the afternoon it will make landfall south of Balasore and north of Dhamra,” the IMD Director (East Zone) Sanjib Bandhopadhyay said. The maximum effect will be felt in East Midnapore and South 24 Parganas.
