New Delhi: Vaidya, a new short film that finished shooting in Goa in January, recently concluded the post-production in Bombay and the first preview for selected audiences is being organized on May 16. The film is otherwise to be premiered at Kashish Film Festival which was postponed from May to August because of the Lockdown. 

The short film is presented by The Qknit, a young LGBTQIA+ Collective established in 2015 that operates to create awareness about the rights and issues of Queer Individuals and Marginalised Women through online and offline events, online campaigns, monthly meet-ups, create movies, and more.

The story is about how Kabir meets the mysterious Vaidya at a beach on a solo trip. The two fall for each other and Kabir leaves with a promise to come back. He decides otherwise and is confronted by Vaidya in Gurgaon. The true identity of Vaidya is then revealed.

 Sumit Pawar is an entrepreneur who utilizes creativity, leadership, and teamwork to design and execute solutions that creates customer value. He has also directed another short film called 'Khwaish'.

 Vaidya was mostly shot at Mandrem and Candolim beaches of Goa and is written and produced by Harsh Agarwal who has teamed up with Pawar as a director.
