Kolkata: Mental health awareness is an important social cause for Pragati Sureka and she aims to write regularly non-fiction, self-help and fiction, specifically in this genre. She believes “Emotional well-being is possible for every individual” and she intends to do her bit to help readers achieve it. This is the reason why she has written Hope: Stories for a Healthy Mind; a unique storybook published by Scholastic which was released recently at Starmark, South City Mall.  Revolving round three protagonists Ryan, Shoma and Kabir each of the three stories show them facing various emotional challenges because of the stress and strain of modern life. How will they develop a strong and healthy mind? How can their families help them? Here’s a mental health book to start these conversations and build emotionally healthy children.

Sureka is in an everlasting relationship with books. Since an early age, she has read voraciously, contributed articles for the school chronicles and journals. Her formal writing career started last year. Her other works include Musings: An Insight into Me. Of late, she has also published articles in reputed magazines, pertaining to parenting, mental health and well-being.
