Director Dhrubo Banerjee brings the fourth part of the ‘Guptodhan’ series with the intent of retaining the originality of the previous parts. He could have woven a tighter screenplay to keep the audience hooked but he meanders a bit making it somewhat loose. On top of that some henchmen of the villain are used as decorative props making it laughable at times. But overall, Banerjee keeps up the magic in this treasure hunt called Saptadingar Guptodhan.

The plot revolves around the merchant Chand Saudagar with a fleet of seven merchant ships going to meet Raja Pratapaditya across the dangerous forests and waterways of the Sundarbans with one of the ships carrying the treasure is submerged under waters and how the trio of Sona da (Abir Chatterjee), Abir (Arjun Chakraborty) and Jhinuk (Isha Sahaa) unravel the mystery of the lost treasure with villain(s) keeping a tab on them and ultimately joining them for their own vested interest.

Abir Chatterjee models his character like Indiana Jones and underplays his part. Rajatava Dutta as the villain Dashanan Daw, recurring from the previous parts is a delight to watch especially his unique laughter and his comedy. In a special role Kaushik Ganguly goes overboard. Arjun Chakraborty & Isha Sahaa are their usual lively selves.

The film is quite a fun to watch but with minimal expectations as it should be like the other parts of this franchise.
