New Delhi: Internationally acclaimed actor and Padma Bhushan awardee Anupam Kher’s acting institute Actor Prepares has officially launched its new centre in Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi. The expansion marks a significant step in bringing world-class acting education to aspiring performers in the National Capital Region.
Founded in 2005 in
Mumbai by Anupam Kher, Actor Prepares is regarded as one of India’s leading
acting institutes. It is also known as one of the few acting schools globally
that is headed by a professionally active international film actor. Over the
years, the institute has built a strong reputation for its disciplined and
industry-oriented training methods.
Speaking on the
occasion, Anupam Kher expressed his excitement about bringing the institute to
Delhi, describing the city as a hub of creativity and artistic ambition. He
said the new centre will provide aspiring actors with access to professional
training led by experienced industry faculty.
The institute was
inaugurated in Delhi by award-winning actor, writer and director Boman Irani,
who highlighted the importance of such institutions in nurturing discipline,
authenticity and artistic confidence among emerging performers.
Over the years, Actor
Prepares has trained and mentored several well-known actors from Indian cinema,
including Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani,
Abhishek Bachchan and Preity Zinta, further strengthening its reputation as a
launchpad for serious acting talent.
The New Delhi centre
will offer a variety of professional training programmes, including full-length
acting courses, on-camera training modules, specialised workshops in voice,
movement and audition preparation, as well as guest sessions and masterclasses
by industry professionals.
According to the
institute, students will follow an integrated curriculum designed to build
confidence, technical skills and professional readiness. On completion of
training, students will receive official certification along with guidance from
the in-house casting team to help them transition from classroom training to
industry opportunities.
