New Delhi: A grand press conference for the
upcoming comedy film Rahu Ketu was held at The Le Meridien Hotel in Delhi. The
event was graced by the film’s lead actors Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma,
along with producer Suraj Kumar. The film is slated for a theatrical release on
the 16th of this month.
During the press interaction, Pulkit Samrat
described Rahu Ketu as a complete entertainer. He said, “Rahu Ketu is a full-on
comedy film. Varun and I are coming together once again to make audiences
laugh. When the script came to me, I instantly said yes because I knew it would
go to Varun as well—and I was sure he would say yes too. And that’s exactly
what happened.”
Getting emotional, Pulkit also spoke about his
mother, saying, “My mother loved films that made people laugh. I feel that if
she were watching this film today, she would be smiling from above.”
Varun Sharma, in his trademark humorous style,
spoke about the film’s quirky title. “We often get films with strange titles,
but if people love us, what’s the problem? In the film, I play ‘Rahu’ and
Pulkit is ‘Ketu’. I was quite surprised to learn that Rahu is only a head and
Ketu is the body. When the two of us come together, we set the screen on fire,”
he joked.
Varun further added, “There is always pressure on
us to do better than before. People have expectations from us, and we try to
cross our previous benchmark every time. Comedy is the toughest genre because
you never know what mood the audience is in.”
Rahu Ketu is written and directed by Vipul Vig. The
film is produced by Umesh Kumar Bansal, Pragati Deshmukh, Suraj Singh and
Varsha Kukreja under the banners of Zee Studios and B-Live Productions. The
film also features Shalini Pandey and Chunky Panday in important roles.
Talking about the film’s theme, Pulkit Samrat said,
“The names Rahu and Ketu often create fear, but I believe that if your heart
and mind are clean, they can become your best friends. Rahu represents
ambition, wealth and fame, while Ketu teaches love, devotion and liberation.
Through this film, we want to convey the message that life should be lived with
honesty, joy and positivity.”
Blending comedy, philosophy and entertainment in a
unique way, Rahu Ketu promises to deliver not just laughter but also a
meaningful and uplifting message to audiences.
