Sasural Simar Ka actor Aadesh Chaudhary, known for
his impactful work in television, recently opened up about the influence of
Bollywood’s iconic trio—Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan—on
reshaping the definition of masculinity in Indian cinema.
In a candid conversation, Aadesh said, “Each of the
three Khans brought something unique to the table. They didn’t just
entertain—they challenged and changed how we perceive men in our stories.”
Reflecting on Shah Rukh Khan’s journey, he added, “SRK taught us that being
emotional doesn’t make a man weak. From the romantic charm of Raj to the
complex characters in his later years, he showed that vulnerability can be
powerful.”
Speaking about Aamir Khan, Aadesh praised his
cerebral and socially conscious approach. “Aamir has always been someone who
thinks beyond the frame. His films have substance. He proved that masculinity
can also be about intelligence, empathy, and purpose.” On Salman Khan’s
evolving screen image, Aadesh shared, “He started as the ultimate macho man,
but over the years, there’s been an emotional depth in his characters. It’s
inspiring to see someone with such a larger-than-life image embrace sensitivity
and growth.” Aadesh believes the trio’s collective impact has been more than
cinematic. “They gave a new face to Indian masculinity—one that allows space
for emotion, softness, self-reflection, and strength. And for actors like me,
that has been liberating.”
Aadesh, who has consistently earned praise for his
versatile acting chops, says he’s grateful for the creative freedom this new
wave has enabled. “Today, we can play heroes who cry, care, and evolve. That’s
a shift driven by the Khans, and it’s a legacy we’re lucky to build on.”
