Panchajanya Sharod Srestha Samman -2025 announced
the much-awaited Durga Pujo Award 2025, celebrating the artistic brilliance,
cultural richness and community spirit of Bengal’s grandest festivals at a
press conference attended by well-known celebrities including actress Dolon Roy
at The Players Club on September 19. This year, the award will recognise
outstanding contribution across various categories. 5 Srestha Prize of Rs.
50,000 each, 2 Udioman prize of Rs. 25,000 each and 1 Serar Sera Prize of Rs. 1,00,000,
including Best Pujo Pandal, Best Idol, Best Lighting, Best Theme, Bengal
Lokayata Shilpa and special Jury Awards, informed Jayanta Ganguly of
Panchajanya Sharod Srestha Samman -2025. The theme song has been composed
by Kalyan Sen Barat while the lyrics are by Kaushik Sengupta.
The judges will compromise eminent personalities
from the fields of art, culture, media and public life. The final parikroma
convoy will take place on September 29, covering the 12 distinguished Pujo
Pandals after three rounds of scrutiny out of 432 pujos across the city. The
Grand Award Ceremony will be held on October 1 at the premises of the
winning pujo pandals.
