Cast: Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla, Gajraj Rao, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Seema Biswas, Ram Kapoor

Director: Subhash Kapoor

Director Subhash Kapoor comes up with the third instalment of the Jolly series and this time he again gives us a very relatable topic which is easily identifiable. He draws inspiration from certain real-life references and makes the film quite light-hearted. However, given a choice, Jolly LLB 3 is the weakest amongst the three Jollys as far the content is concerned.  The opposition lawyer is quite weak compared to the first two Jollys and thus the two Jollys against one opposition lawyer is a damper. But all said and done, Jolly LLB 3 hits you hard in the climax court scene which is simply superb. The film also has some hard hitting scenes along with humour. This is where the director Subhash Kapoor scores heavily. Plus he has the actors to perform ably too.

The story takes place in the village of Parsaul, Rajasthan where a villager Rajaram Solanki (Robin Das) protests against selling his ancestral land  to industrialist Haribhai Khaitan (Gajraj Rao) who wants his dream project 'Bikaner to Boston' to roll from Parsaul. The authorities, who are bought by Haribhai, file a case against Rajaram in a local court where Rajaram loses the case. He commits suicide leaving behind his widow Janki (Seema Biswas). A few years later, the case reaches Delhi Court due to the persuasiveness of Janki and this is when the two lawyers Jagdish Tyagi aka Jolly (Arshad Warsi) and Jagdishwar Mishra aka Jolly (Akshay Kumar) get embroiled in this case.

Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi deliver superb performances despite the former having a little bit more screen time than the latter. But it is Arshad who hogs the limelight in the climax. Kudos to Akshay for letting him do so. Their chemistry is brilliant, especially in the climax. But the show belongs to Justice Sunderlal Tripathi played by Saurabh Shukla. He gives a fabulous and adorable performance. Don't miss his romantic side in this film. Too good. Gajraj Rao is excellent as the antagonist and enacts with his eyes. Seema Biswas is very good and delivers a power-packed performance. Huma Qureshi (as Pushpa, wife of Jagdishwar Mishra) and Amrita Rao as Sandhya (wife of Jagdish Tyagi) come back from their earlier films but have very little to do. Ram Kapoor as the opposing lawyer is fair. Shilpa Shukla as police officer Chanchan Chautala and love interest of Tripathi is wonderful. Kharaj Mukherjee as DM Ghosh is fair.

Jolly LLB 3 is a highly entertaining film despite being the weakest in the franchise with a hard hitting subject along with superb performances from the lead cast.
