Lucknow: The city of Nawabs is set to celebrate the
magic of cinema with the announcement of the Lucknow International Film
Festival, founded and organized by Ayub Khan. The three-day festival will be
held from 2nd - 4th December 2025, bringing together filmmakers, artists, and
audiences in a vibrant celebration of storytelling.
Speaking about the initiative, Ayub Khan, Founder
and Organizer of the Lucknow International Film Festival, said, “Lucknow is a
fantastic city and the love for cinema here is unconditional. In the first week
we will be organizing a three-day festival to celebrate films and filmmakers. I
am delighted that distinguished personalities like Rakesh Bedi, Soham P. Shah,
and B.N. Tiwari, President of the Film Federation of India, have come together
to support this special occasion.” Alongside the festival announcement, Ayub
Khan also revealed the launch of his upcoming Hindi feature film "Shubh
Sangam"
Soham P. Shah, Film Director and Jury Member of the
Lucknow International Film Festival, also shared his thoughts: “In our
honorable Chief Minister Yogi Ji’s state of Uttar Pradesh — we are launching
this prestigious festival at PVR Cinema, Saharaganj, Lucknow. This festival has
been created to encourage and inspire the talented writers, directors, and
actors of this region. The final festival will take place from 2nd December to
4th December 2025 at PVR Cinema, Saharaganj, Lucknow. And yes, there is more good
news for everyone! Mr. Ayub Khan is also announcing his upcoming Hindi feature
film Shubh Sangam, which will be shot entirely across Uttar Pradesh. The film
is scheduled to begin shooting in November 2025.”
Pahlaj Nihlani expressed his joy on being part of
the initiative, saying, “I am honored to be a part of the Board of Directors of
the Lucknow International Film Festival. On 13th September 2025, this grand
festival was launched in the City of Nawabs, Lucknow. I urge everyone to extend
their blessings and best wishes to Mr. Ayub Khan, the driving force behind this
festival. Hailing from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, Ayub Khan is an exceptionally
talented and creative mind who is always striving to bring something better and
more meaningful to the world of cinema. The Lucknow International Film Festival
is the result of his dedication and the constant demand and encouragement he
has received from creative personalities of this region through calls and
emails. The festival will take place from 2nd December to 4th December 2025. On
this occasion, Mr. Ayub Khan is also announcing his upcoming Hindi feature
film, Shubh Sangam, which will be shot entirely in Uttar Pradesh. I extend my

Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi, who will serve as a jury
member for the festival and also star in Shubh Sangam, shared his excitement,
“On the occasion of the launch of the Lucknow International Film Festival and
the announcement of a new Hindi feature film Shubh Sangam, I extend my
heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Ayub Khan and the people of Lucknow. I am
honored to be part of this festival not only as one of its jury members but
also as an actor in the upcoming film *Shubh Sangam,* where I will be portraying
a remarkable character.”
Bedi also highlighted his long-standing association
with Ayub Khan: “My association with Ayub Khan Sahab goes back many years. In
Mumbai, I have proudly served as a jury member for the Cine Dreams International
Film Festival, organized by him for the past two years. I also had the
privilege of playing an impactful role in his film Be-Lagaam. Ayub Khan is
not only a talented writer and director, but above all, a man of great
integrity and a truly wonderful human being. Our friendship has stood the test of
time, and I deeply value this creative journey with him.”
With the dual announcement of the Lucknow
International Film Festival and Shubh Sangam, the city gears up for an
exciting cultural extravaganza celebrating cinema, creativity, and
collaboration.
