What to Expect: The fourth edition of the Emami Art Experimental Film Festival (EAEFF) returns from September 11–14, 2025, reaffirming its role as a platform for radical and boundary- breaking moving image practices. Bringing together filmmakers, artists and audiences from India and across the world, the festival presents works that blur the lines between art and cinema, history and memory, fiction and reality.

At a time when the moving image is dominated by speed and spectacle, EAEFF insists on slowness, rigour, and the courage to remain unresolved. Beyond its annual program, the festival seeks to nurture an ecosystem where experimental cinema can sustain itself, creating dialogues and networks that extend far beyond the screenings. Its long-term impact lies not only in the works shown, but in the community of practice and thought it continues to build.
