On the occasion of World Music Day, Actor Neel
Samarthh, who is currently seen in Sabse Bada Rupaiya on Atrangii, will soon be
seen in the web series Rose Garden opens up about his love for music and how it
plays an important role in his everyday life. “It’s there when no one else is,”
he shares honestly.
Whether he’s working out, driving around the city,
or just sitting quietly after a long shoot day, music is always by his side.
“It helps me think clearly and even lifts me up when I feel low,” he adds. When
asked about his all-time favourite singer, Neel smiles and answers instantly,
“It has to be Sonu Nigam.” His voice lights up as he shares, “There’s something
so real and honest in Sonu Nigam’s voice. No matter how I’m feeling—happy, low,
or thoughtful—his songs always connect with my mood. He didn’t need heavy music
or beats; his voice alone could touch your heart.”
Neel also talks about one song that’s very close to
him. “‘Khoya Khoya Chand’ by Mohammed Rafi is a personal favourite,” he says
warmly. “Every time I listen to it, it reminds me to appreciate the small
moments and the people in my life. It’s a beautiful reminder to stay grounded
and grateful.” He truly believes that music can change a person’s mood
instantly. “Even one good song can change your vibe,” Neel explains.
“If I’m feeling tired or dull, I just play a good
track and suddenly I feel more alive. Music doesn’t need a language—it goes
straight to your heart.” When it comes to the debate of remixing old songs,
Neel shares a balanced thought. “Some old songs are perfect the way they are,”
he says. “But if a remix is done with care and doesn’t spoil the soul of the
original, it can work. At the same time, I’m always excited to hear fresh music
and new creations too.”
