It's an attempt to have a conversation with Rabindranath after 100 years, to establish communication through his poetry. A century ago Gurudev wanted to know who was reading his poetry a century later. Now Tagore has met Gulzar through an artistic presentation initiated and executed by the eminent musical duo Sourendra-Soumyajit, the special video released on Sourendra-Soumyajit's official YouTube channel on the occasion of Rabindranath Tagore's birth anniversary.

Sourendra-Soumyajit informed, "We always try to enrich the canvas of our imagination. For the past 20 years, we have been working together on music, melodies, and new fresh innovative ideas. We have always preferred to create art on larger diaspora keeping music as a medium.

During the lockdown, a call came from an unknown Mumbai number on the other end was a baritone voice, that of Gulzar Saab. He had got our phone number from some common friends. He gave us an open invitation to create something together. This was followed by some music, poetry exchange sessions trying to get to know each other. Coincidentally, Rabindranath had written a poem 100 years ago keeping an unknown, imaginary poet in mind who is reading his poem a hundred years later. This is just an artistic urge to understand his own relevance after 100 years! We decided that Gurudev should find the answer to this question through Gulzar Saab. Accordingly, a new poem was born which is recited by Gulzar Saab himself in this video. It is as if a poet of another century is discussing with Gurudev now, answering all the questions left by him. The video has used AI technology to create Rabindranath's voice.  We are happy to publish this video on the birth anniversary of Gurudev on our official YouTube channel. I hope this initiative will be appreciated by all admirers of Rabindranath and literature lovers."

Gulzar Saab said, "Both Sourendra-Soumyajit are very creative. They wanted me to write a reply to Gurudev's poem 'Aji Hote Shataborsho Pore',. But I don't have enough courage to answer Gurudev. I also wrote a poem that even today we read his poetry, and perform his songs. He is still very relevant even today. Maybe Gurudev gave me this homework through Sourendro-Soumyajit! I am so honoured."
