An exhilarating experience

Rating: 4/5

Dune: Part One was devoid of any emotions, and for the most part, in terms of emotionality, Dune: Part Two is the same, but what it does offer - which the first instalment didn’t offer - is exhilarating from start to finish, so much so that the lack of emotionality is non-existent during the - excessively long, though it doesn’t feel long - runtime.

Follow the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a path of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, Paul endeavours to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.

The first instalment in the Dune series was excellent in terms of technical achievement, but the second instalment is completely mesmerizing: its scale is humongous and awe-inspiring. The cinematography is breathtaking and some of the most gorgeous cinematography ever seen in a science-fiction film. The performances are really good and so is the direction. Technically, a brilliant film.

Dune: Part Two is an audio-visual film worth experiencing in IMAX.
