The 9th Indo Bangla International Online Film Festival organized by Om Sostri Films was held on 17th January at Kolkata Press Club, Prominent actors of the Bengali film industry Bodhisatta Majumdar and Abhik Bhattacharya were present on the occasion along with Sree Das, the organizer's chief, Bishal Biswas, the festival secretary and director as well as the awardees. 

Bishal Biswas said this year their film festival received 75 films out of which 25 films were screened online and nominated for awards by jury members. This year, films were submitted from various states including West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Assam. Two films were submitted from the Philippines and Canada. The festival secretary also informed that this year their screening of films by Bangladeshi filmmakers and acceptance of the festival was stopped for special reasons.  But from the next festival, the filmmakers of Bangladesh will be able to participate in the film festival.

The award winners included: Soman Y for the best feature film 'XYZ', Sanjay Mishra for best short film 'Secrets', Bodhisatta Majumdar as best actor in 'Fera-The Return', Sumita Chatterjee as best actress in 'Moner Janala Diye', Indu Shekhar for best story for 'Anmol', Prajna Nag for best director for "Utshab' among others.

The schedule of the next festival, the 10th Indo-Bangla International Online Film Festival, was also announced. Filmmakers can submit their films from 1st February.  The festival will be held in August 2024.
