Take 5 Communications hosted a scintillating musical evening “Gaata Rahe Mera Dil” to evergreen hero Dev Anand in his birth centenary year at Rotary Sadan on December 22 evening. The brainchild of filmmaker Tathagata Bhattacharya, the event was dedicated to his late father who was an ardent fan of Dev Anand.
The event kicked off with an audio-visual presentation of some of the best songs picturized on Anand. Then followed a live show of renowned singers like Anand Rao singing for Mohd Rafi, Biswajit Bagha Ghosh for Kishore Kumar and Kajari Mimi Roy for Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle.
The audience were treated to solo and duet gems
which included Dil ka Bhawar kare pukar (Tere Ghar Ke Samne), Khoya khoya chand
(Kaala Bazar), Mana janab ne pukara nahin (Paying Guest), Khwab ho tum ya koi
haqeeqat and Are yaar mere tum bhi ho gazab (Teen Deviyan), Yeh dil na hota Bechara
(Jewel Thief), Koi sone ke dilwala and Tasveer teri dil main (Maya), Nafrat
karne walon ko (Johnny Mera Naam), Phoolon ka taron ka (Hare Rama Hare Krishna),
Main zindagi ka saath (Hum Dono), Tere mere sapne abh and Gaata rahe mera dil (Guide).
Guest performer Ratan Jhawar sang Mukesh numbers Bahena kabhi
nain (Vidya), Ai jaane jigar (Aaraam).
