The best of the best

Cast: Keanu Reeves, Donnie Yen, Bill SkarsgÄrd, Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne, Lance Reddick, Clancy Brown

Rating: 4.5/5

An aesthetically pleasing, crisply shot, and choreographed action film is a rarity these days. Long gone are the days of Abel Ferrara and Martin Scorsese’s thrillers which were crisply edited and shot but John Wick: Chapter 4 proves all its detractors wrong. It turns out to be the best film of the year so far, keeping you hooked and on the edge of your seat in ways only a few action films have been able to do.

Easily the best in the franchise, Chad Stahelski is at his very best as a filmmaker here.

With the price on his head ever increasing, John Wick uncovers a path to defeating The High Table. But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes.

The choreography is beyond excellent with every scene so exciting that it needs to be seen to be believed. Keanu Reeves delivers an excellent performance with his facial expressions speaking louder than his dialogue. Bill SkarsgĂ„rd is equally good. The cinematography is perfect with that one overhead long take being the highlight. The music, stunts colors, and action set pieces are on point and the violence is really cool. The film never feels over the top, it feels surreal but never unreal.

John Wick: Chapter 4 is a film filled with testosterone and adrenaline. A damn near-perfect action film.
