With dreams in their eyes, fires in their bellies, and a desire to reach the top many aspiring actors land in the field, but only a handful of them succeed. Actor Sandeep Goyat who fought all the odds, shaking off the ‘small town’ tag has finally made it big by winning an award for best actor at the Haryana International Film Festival.
Sandeep comes from
Meham a small town in Haryana. Completing both his school and college from
Rohtak, he had been actively participating as a theatre audience. Many of
his friends were doing theatre too. Theatre was something that fascinated
Sandeep. He finally talked to his father about being an actor after his
graduation.
He went to Delhi to kick-start his career. He joined 'Act 1 theatre Group' in Delhi which
is one of the best theatre groups in India and had an amazing experience of five
years. He got his first movie 'Guddu Rangeela' and from then there
was no looking back.
Sandeep had played a lead role in 'Akhada' a story of wrestling and the journey of wrestlers, This web series narrates the journey of wrestlers, in which a boy from a poor family was seen struggling a lot to fulfill his father's dream. The burst of action, thrill and adventure in it made it all the more interesting. The most special thing about this series is that it is in Haryanvi dialect. 'Akhada' is directed by Ashu Chhabra and created by Sanjay Sanju.
On winning the award Sandeep says, “I dedicate this award to Haryana.”
Sandeep was
previously seen in films like Incar, G kutta Se, and in a web series Shiksha
Mandal for MX Player original as DSP Vikram Dangi.
