Family members, including Hridaynath Mangeshkar and Usha Mangeshkar, got very emotional on the occasion of unveiling the photo of Late Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar at the hands of Vikram Gokhale at Deenanath Mangeshkar Auditorium. Lata Mangeshkar left this mortal world on February 6 but her presence will be forever in the heart of every Indian.

Actor Vikram Gokhale unveiled the photo of Lata didi. The Mangeshkar-Gokhale families share a bond for seven decades. Vikram Gokhale became very emotional on this occasion, he said that "My father and Dinanath Mangeshkar ji's family are related for decades. We used to call Dinanath ji as Dina Aba. He spoke told about the relationship between his father and Dinanath Mangeshkar. They were very close. In fact, Dinanath ji was my father's Guru and he gave my father the musical instrument on which he did riyaz. We have very fond memories. I am grateful that Hridaynathji gave me this opportunity to unveil this photograph," he said

Asha Bhosle became as emotional on this occasion. Her eyes became moist while talking to the media.  Asha Bhosle said "Whenever I used to go wherever I used to take blessings from Didi; she used to tell me not to touch her feet always, 'My blessings are always with you whether you come here or not. Mai, Baba and I are always there for  you.' Now whose blessings should I seek? Whom should I tell my troubles? When we were very young, then Baba left, and after Mai, Lata didi took care of us all as a father, and today after her. We all have become orphans. I never thought that all this would happen so soon. She should have been with us guiding us for at least a few more years."

Hridaynath Mangeshkar said, "Didi's passing is very sad for all of us. Today Didi's picture was unveiled in Dinanath Auditorium and there are four theatres in Pune,  where we will unveil her photographs. I never thought once that in the same places where we have unveiled Baba's pictures, one day I will have to unveil Didi's photo as well. I can't still believe that she has left us," he expressed.

"It is the saddest day of our lives. A portrait of our dearest Didi was put up at Deenanath Mangeshkar Auditorium. She will always be with us, come what may," said Zanai Bhosle.

Vikram Gokhale, Asha Bhosle, Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Usha Mangeshkar, Bharti Mangeshkar, Ashish Shellar, Roopkumar and Sonali Rathod, Adinath Mangeshkar, Krishna Mangeshkar, Zanai Bhosle, Anuja Bhosle and Mayuresh Pai were present on the occasion.
