When a noted businessman from Bangladesh comes to Kolkata on a visit with his wife and child, all hell breaks loose when the infant is robbed from their car. The local police have their own agenda of searching for the child and making good money out of the parents. By sheer chance, the baby is found abandoned in a garbage vat by a slum kid who then along with his gang of petty thieves looks after the child as their own. Not only that they decide to return the child to the parents even if it meant going to Bangladesh braving all odds and dangers that come their way.

Director Biplab Kayal’s “Kanta Tarer Bera” is a simple tale of a group of slum children who eke out a living by robbing people in local trains. But when they get a chance to redeem themselves by rescuing a child and uniting him with his distraught parents they leave no stone unturned to do so. Led by veteran actors Rajesh Sharma, Supriyo Dutta and Debraj Mukherjee along with Ankush Mondal, Bidisha Paul, Deep Das, Avilash Chakraborty and Joy Banerjee, the film touches the core of your heart.

The film had its premiere at Indira cinema hall where the cast and crew were present on Friday.
