Taalim 2, 2021 is a series of online dance programmes organised by Nrityangan Kathak Kendra, from last year. The founder of Nrityangan Kathak Kendra, Paramita Maitra, dance guru took the initiative to promote classical dance. The Covid-19 pandemic has hit the whole world and in this pandemic issue artists are still facing a lot of financial problems, so Nrityangan Kathak Kendra has come forward by organising a fund raising programme for needy artists. Whatever funds they have received from the show. Will be donated to the artists. This was a virtual show which was live on Facebook. For the last few year Paramita Maitra has constantly been supporting artists, especially those who lives in rural and semi urban areas.
Nrityangan Kathak Kendra’s ‘Taalim 2’, a virtual classical dance concert, was recently organised by Paramita Maitra and her team. Guest artists included Ashim Bandhu Bhattacharya, Luna Poddar, Ramaprasad Chattopadhyay, Susmita Chatterjee, Sandip Mallick, Souvik Chakraborty, Subrata Pandit, Angira Bhattacharya and Bishal Dutta. The students of Nrityangan Kathak Kendra performed in Kolkata, Berhampore, Tripura, Asansol, Malda, Bangladesh and Texas.
