New Delhi Prime Minister Narendra Modi unfurled the Tricolour to mark the nation’s 75th Independence Day at the historic Red Fort in Delhi on Sunday. He announced a mega National Master Plan for the country which will connect all NE state capitals with the entire country, which will involve an expenditure of Rs 100 lakh crores. On the 75th week of the Amrit Mahotsav, celebrated countrywide to commemorate the  75th Independence Day, 75 'Bande Bharat Express' trains will also be launched. Red Fort was decorated with colourful flowers and numerous national flags across the premises.

After the PM hoisted the Tricolour which was, followed by the National Anthem, the Indian Air Force showered flowers from the sky.

In his speech Modi emphasized on the growth of new India, opening up the army school admission for girls and the green environment policy.

He also launched 'Sab ka Saath, Sab ka Prayash & Sab ka Vikash' and also announced the growth of small business for economic turnaround in the country. 

India’s first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru had unfurled the Tricolour for the first time on August 15, 1947 to mark India’s Independence Day. Modi has hoisted the Tricolour for eight times consecutively.
