Kolkata: In this pandemic where people are literally fighting to stay alive and desperately looking for ways to sustain themselves, there are a few angels who are actually helping them out wholeheartedly and one of them is actress-singer Suparna Kumar. Suparna recently finished one of her shorts "Unlucky Shirt" directed by Suranjan Dey. She had acted and sang a track for the film. She has earlier teamed up with Kunal Ganjawala and Kumar Sanu to sing some Hindi numbers with them.

The actress recently took a wonderful initiative by giving away necessary protein food, dry food, sweets, medicines and other essential items for 5000 people which included poor Covid survivors and distressed, helpless beggars and slum dwellers in the Baranagar area. In the previous lockdown too she had helped the poor and stray animals.
