Mumbai: Ram Gopal Varma's most awaited, 'D Company' has recently released on his OTT platform 'Spark OTT'. ‘D Company’ is about the rise of the underworld company headed by Dawood Ibrahim. It is well-known that Ram Gopal Varma is a master in picking actors who have close similarities with the role they portray. Following the same trend, he selected Anshu, who fits in perfectly as Dawood’s sister Haseena Parker. Her acting and intensity are perfectly captured by RGV which brings a lot of depth to her character.
Anshu hails
from south Mumbai, and did her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya. Her hometown
is Mathura and she went on to complete her graduation in BTech (Computer
Engineer) from Sharda University Campus, Agra. However, getting into the
entertainment space was everything she ever felt she wanted to do and that’s
what she did. Apart from ‘D Company’, she will also be seen as a lead actor in
the short film streaming on Bollyfame OTT, ‘Broken Notes’ along with Mannara
Chopra and Gautam Vig directed by Vikrant Singta. In 2020 she won the title of
Miss India Supermodel in the beauty contest organized by Sharad Chaudhary's Dreamz
Production.
Talking about
working with Varna, Anshu says: "RGV is a complete institution and
performing under his guidance was like learning the art to its perfection. I
feel so proud, glad, and lucky to have worked with him. And as 'D Company'
would be a series now, I am super excited to learn many more things under the
shadow of his vast knowledge of filmmaking."
