New Delhi: The ICSE Class 10 board examinations have been cancelled due to the "worsening situation" of the coronavirus pandemic, the board announced a couple of days after it had made the exam optional.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate
Examinations (CISCE) board had just days ago on April 16 had postponed its
Class 10 and 12 examinations. Fresh dates for the ISC
Class 12 examinations will be announced in the first week of June.
Meanwhile, all CISCE-affiliated
schools have been directed to begin the class XI admissions and also prepare a
schedule to start online classes for the class XI as soon as possible.
The board cancelled the
examination as the country is recording grim records and an unprecedented spike
in cases in the second and more deadly Covid wave.
