New Delhi: A special meeting of the Shri Ramlila Mahasangh, an umbrella organization representing all Ramlila committees in the national capital, was held at the Constitution Club, New Delhi, under the अध्यक्षता of its President, Mr. Arjun Kumar. The meeting aimed to address issues faced during Ramlila आयोजन and find collective solutions.

During the बैठक, it was unanimously decided that Dussehra will be celebrated across the country on October 20, 2026. It was also announced that the Ramlila Mahotsav in Delhi will be held from October 11 to October 21, 2026.

Representatives from hundreds of Ramlila committees participated and shared their concerns. Addressing the gathering, President Arjun Kumar expressed gratitude to the Delhi Government for providing 1200 units of free electricity last year. He appealed to the government to extend free electricity facilities for Ramlila committees this year as well. He also urged the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to provide grounds free of cost for at least 45 days, similar to other departments.

General Secretary Mr. Subhash Goyal suggested that all grounds where Ramlila is staged should be officially designated as “Utsav Sthal (Ramlila)”.

On the occasion, newly appointed BJP Delhi State President and Union Minister of State, Mr. Harsh Malhotra, was felicitated by the federation with a mace symbolizing Lord Hanuman, along with a shawl. Other Members of Parliament present were also honored with traditional Ramnami stoles and mementos.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Harsh Malhotra assured that no obstacles would be allowed in religious activities and that all issues related to Ramlila आयोजन would be resolved before the festivities begin. MP Mr. Praveen Khandelwal stated that efforts made last year would be continued and pending issues would be addressed collectively.

MP Mr. Ramvir Singh Bidhuri emphasized that Ramlila is an integral part of Indian culture and assured that MPs would take up the concerns with Union Home Minister and the Lieutenant Governor for resolution. MP Ms. Kamaljeet Sehrawat reiterated that governments at the Centre, Delhi, and municipal levels are committed to supporting Ramlila committees and resolving their concerns.

Several prominent members and representatives from various Ramlila committees across Delhi, including Kashmiri Gate, Pitampura, Karol Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, Rohini, Narela, Shahdara, and others, were present and shared their views.

The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to ensure smooth and grand आयोजन of Ramlila festivities in 2026.
