Acropolis Mall has hosted a heart-warming
Yuletide Celebration, bringing together creativity, festive joy, and
environmental awareness in a meaningful initiative. The event was held from
11:00 am to 2 pm at Acropolis Mall and witnessed enthusiastic participation
from children and guests alike. The Highlight of the day was an awareness
workshop on indoor plants among children at Dali – the only plant retail outlet
at Acropolis Mall.
The celebration featured an engaging Art
Competition, a guided Christmas Carnival Tour of the Mall, and an Educational
Plant Awareness Workshop at Dali, the mall’s exclusive plant retail outlet.
Children from Amra Padatik, an NGO working closely with underprivileged
children, and DRCSC, working with slum children in Dhapa area actively
participated in the programme, making the celebration both inclusive and
impactful.
The occasion was further enriched by the presence
of two distinguished guests. Mr. Soumitra Roy, the eminent singer and founder
of legendary Bangla Band Bhumi , graced the event and interacted warmly with
the children, adding a cultural and inspirational dimension to the festivities.
Mr. Souvik Kumar, an acclaimed botanist, conducted the Plant Awareness Workshop
at Daali, where he sensitised children to the importance of plants,
sustainability, and caring for the environment through an interactive and educational
session.
Subhadip Basu, Corporate CGM, Retail &
Hospitality, Merlin Group said, " The festive season of Yuletide period
and ensuing New Year are the joyous occasions for all children. With that
objective we have organised a Christmas special Art Competition, a tour of
Christmas Carnival and an educative Workshop on indoor plants at Dali. I thank
Soumitra Ray, founder of Bhoomj and renowned singer for gracing the occasion.
The educative Workshop on plants by Souvik Kumar working with mangroves at our
only plant retail shop Dali was really novel. I think Dali for gifting all
children and gusts with plans as I truly believe in saying “ save our plants
and save our planet” .
The Yuletide Celebration reflected Acropolis Mall’s
continued commitment to community engagement, social responsibility, and
creating meaningful festive experiences that go beyond celebration to inspire
learning and awareness.
